By the age of seventeen, I had spent the majority of my life staring out of the car window. I watched the world pass me by as my parents drove from state to state every other year. Moving around was the norm for us, and making friends was easier than keeping them as I saw my family become complacent with the life of a nomad. I didn't want that, though. I was exhausted of that life.
